Mulch, Pine Straw, Gravel

Mulch, Pine Straw, and Rock are the best way to make your beds stand out and highlight the plants you have chosen to frame your home. They help to provide weed control, nutrients for your plants as they biodegrade, and a nice even look for the foundation of your beds. To ensure the success of your beds we:

  • We remove the weeds in your beds to provide a good initial weed free foundation

  • Spread a minimum 3” layer to ensure proper weed control

  • Take special care to spread close to your plants to provide coverage but not too close to the trunks where your plants won’t suffocate

Dry Creek Beds

Dry creek beds are a great way to direct extra water flow, and also add a curated feel to your property. To ensure a proper and long lasting dry creek bed we:

  • Prepare the structure of the soil underneath the rocks to appear more natural and blend in with the surrounding landscape, which also helps with water flow

  • Add a weed barrier to ensure weeds to not start creeping through your creek bed

  • Curate a good balance of different sized rocks to mimic a natural creek bed

Timber Staircases & Walkways

Timber Staircases and Walkways are a great way elevate the pathways around your house and through your garden beds. They provide flow and continuity to the eye and stand out as a curated feature of your home. Timber pathways add permanent value to your property, and serve to allow your yard to be an inviting space for you and guests to enjoy. To ensure lasting quality we:

  • Utilize ground contact pressure treated 6x6’s

  • Ensure the ground is prepped and level in order to provide a good foundation for your pathway

  • Offer staining and sealing once the pressure treated boards have dried enough to accept stain

Plant Removal

Creating a beautiful and curated garden space often starts with removing existing plants that have been haphazardly planted or have failed to be maintained and are now improperly grown. Our plant removal services offer:

  • Complete removal of the plant and its rootball to allow. for new plants to be placed in a new space without having to compete with old mature roots

  • We can also offer a stump flush cutting service on shrubs or small trees. where the trunk of the plant is cut flush with the ground, in areas that are of little consequence in order to provide a cheaper alternative

French Drains

French drains help with yards that are soggy and oversaturated from rain and runoff from surround properties. They also protect the foundation of your home by tying in all of the gutters and taking the water to a safe location. They can transform your yard from a soggy mess to an enjoyable and usable space. We make sure your french drain is installed properly by:

  • Ensuring proper depth and slope of the trench to provide enough absorption and redirection of water

  • Adding enough gravel around the drainage pipe to help with collection of water and filtering out dirt

  • Taking care to make sure all connection are proper and secure and will not fail over time.

About
Inspired Landscaping

My name is Drew Botts, and I am the founder of Inspired Landscaping. I live here locally in Rome, Georgia with my wife Kayla. I am 26 years old and have been doing commercial landscaping full time for the past 9 years. I have gained a widespread knowledge through working with 3 different landscape companies across 3 states and have also spent 2 years working at a plant nursery and landscape supply store.

I love being able to work with plants to curate a handcrafted environment that feels natural and pleasing to the eye. Working with people to create a space they love and get to enjoy seeing every time they come home brings me satisfaction and fulfillment. I named our company Inspired Landscaping because I strive to create a service that is handcrafted and curated to look and feel special. Our work is inspired from our customer’s dream and our designs, and therefore is inspiring to anyone who sees our curated landscapes. From having good and clear communication with our clients, to a finished beautiful outdoor space, we try to be intentional and make the whole experience a good one for both the client and our company.
